My Submission 🙂
My son has always been pauciloquent. He prefers gestures to words, which took a while to accept. But now, I absorb every gift of communication.
Instead of, “Comfort me”, he shows me his teddy.
Instead of, “I’m hungry,” he points to his mouth.
Instead of, “I’m sad,” he drops his head.
And, instead of, “I love you,” he wraps his arms around my neck and squeezes every last bit of devotion, care, and adoration out of my being.
He is perfect.
Who need words, when you have pure love.

Takes after his great grandfather. “Pass the salt” was his finger pointing at the salt shaker.
