WOTD Dec 27, 2020 – Gloom

This challenge speaks for itself. Write something, anything, based on the Word of the Day. Today’s (yesterday’s) was, GLOOM.

If you would like to participate in this or just enjoy other submissions, please visit, https://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/2020/12/27/gloom/

My Submission:

Are dark clouds considered gloom, when the rain replenishes the soil?

Is a painful comment considered gloom, when it brings enlightenment?

Calling in “sick”, so I can spend the day with my kids…

Will I view that as gloom when I receive my piddly paycheck?

Is spending a weekend alone at home considered gloom, when I’m curled up on the sofa, watching my favorite movie and eating pizza?

Gloom is simply a matter of perspective.
