My Submission:
I take pride in being your worst enemy.
A fire broke out in the woods, and instead of helping the poor animals fleeing from the blaze, you see it as a hunting opportunity.
I see you behind those trees, waiting for a frightened rabbit, buck, even bird to come your way so you have a clear shot.
Easy targets.
I see you.
My shot is also clear.
But, unlike you,
I will shout a warning.
Excellent first line; yes, we both orbited around the same setting and acts of cruelty, for sure. I like how your ending said so much with just a few words.
