Wordle #495 – Last Ditch Effort

The Words:

My Submission:

How do we reconcile this?

You act like an entitled child, stuck in a perpetual state of denial. You ask me to run miles, then stab my heart when you don’t reciprocate. It takes two people for a relationship to shine

Are you frightened of offering a kind gesture once in a while, or do you genuinely not know how?

I know your upbringing was hard. I’m sure you don’t mean to be rude. But, I figured if I showed you what a loving partner looks like, you would eventually come around.

It has been two years now.

I love you, and the thought of leaving sends bile up my throat. But, I deserve to feel the fight for our relationship, for me.

I’m not sure if this letter will push you away, or leave you enlightened.

I pray it’s the latter.

If not, I hope my words resonate, and you go into your next relationship, willing and eager to do the work.
