The Words:

My Submission 🙂
It was the weekend he had been waiting for. He was old, but at the top of his game, a master at his craft. The audience couldn’t even prepare for the feat he was about to unfold.
Magic had been his life since childhood, unveiling moments of splendor, an inextricable twisting of the minds of those who watched.
But this trick was a cause célèbre, one for the ages that would surely catapult him into the history books.
He crouched on the empty stage above a spring loaded tile, breathing deeply. Then, a puff of smoke ballooned over his head, followed by a raging fire, spilling its contents around him.
He had intended to disappear, but the faulty wiring above had other ideas.
The audience sat still, assuming it was part of the show, while he was in a panic!
As the smoke consumed the auditorium, nothing could clear the air.
Firemen arrived, and after extinguishing the blaze, asked him the reason for the unauthorized pyrotechnics, to which he replied with a Hail Mary proposition, “I think God wants me to retire.”
