Welcome to Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge. Each week, Fandango will post a photo he grabs off the internet and challenge bloggers to write a flash fiction piece or a poem inspired by the photo. There are no style or word limits. The cover image is from Marius Venter at Pixels.com.

My Submission 🙂
My followers think I’m a daredevil, always placing myself in precarious positions for both the thrill, and the perfect IG photo. That is partially true. I do defy death with my antics, but what they don’t know is I have an extreme fear of heights, which is why the photograph is always taken from afar. That way, they can’t see the harness, the seven in-case-of-emergency straps wrapping my belly like a mummy, and the snot running down my face, a consequence of my blubbering sobs.

It’s not a fear of heights it’s a fear of falling.
