Friday Fictioneers – An Alternative Fame

My Submission, 100 words

It was his debut, the moment he’d always dreamed about. He finally made it as a news reporter. Problem was, he awoke to a strange rumble in his tummy, which gradually transformed into bubbling in his bowels.

Remain professional, he thought. Get through this first bit and deal with that after

As he was given the signal to begin speaking on the count of three, that bubble slid down. One second after the producer mouthed, “Go,” it escaped his body in a boisterous blow!

His yearning for fame was realized within days as his debut went viral on social media.

  1. That is so rotten, it’s hilarious! I tried to read it to my Hubby, but kept breaking into laughter. Had to just turn the screen around. What a way to make a name for yourself! LOL! Perhaps his next job will be as a spokesman for “Beano”… snorting cackles of laughter echo…
