My Submission 🙂
She found the pull of the ocean irresistible. Her love to dive was embedded in her being. She was designed for it, what with parents who introduced her when she was two-years-old, before she could link a full sentence together.
Now, to relax, she’d swim as far down as she could go, sit on the bottom for an aortistic amount of time, and just breathe, watching the bubbles rise from her regulator. It was her meditation.
One day, by chance, she glanced over and saw something odd amongst the coral. It was a rose quartz pendant, embedded in silver.
That evening, she posted a picture on social media, hoping to find the owner of the gorgeous piece of jewelry.
Weeks passed before she received a private message, with a photo of the pendant draped around an elderly woman’s neck.
“This was my Mother’s. I can’t believe you found it! It’s a family heirloom, and I was destroyed when I lost it on a boat trip last year.”
That was all the affirmation she needed. Her love of diving was meant for more than just healing her own broken heart.
