My Submission ๐Ÿ™‚

She sat on her bed, reading the letters in chronological order. Her father passed when she was an infant, but before he lost all motor function, he wrote her a letter for each year of her life he would miss, up until adulthood.

Today was her Eighteenth Birthday…the moment she had been waiting for. One by one, she plucked a letter from the thread her mother had strung around her room. Some made her cry, others made her laugh, but all gave her some insight to his personality, humor, and eternal love for the child he would never witness grow into the beautiful being she had become.
