Welcome to Share Your World!
Melanie will post four or five different questions each week for you to answer. Additionally, she’ll offer a ‘Gratitude’ Section for those who like a little affirmation with their questions! It’s optional to participate in that of course.
There are two ways in which to participate:
- Create a Share Your World post.
- Then post the link to that blog post or leave your answers in the comments box of Melanie’s blog.
- To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World” and link it to her post.
- Ping-backs are activated, but how efficiently varies. She doesn’t manually approve them, but sometimes they don’t show up immediately. Why is an unsolved mystery.
Here are the questions and my answers:
Why do we dream? – Because my A-hole brain refuses to allow me a moment of peace. I’ve had chronic nightmares since I was very young, and I always wake up stressed out.
Do you think a person’s name influences the person they become? – Who knows? If I was named Katy Perry, perhaps I’d be a famous singer right now?!
Does hardship make a person stronger? (example: What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger) – Not always. Sometimes the hardships are too much to handle and it breaks a person irreparably.
Why do we judge ourselves by our intentions, but judge others by their actions? – We don’t always know another’s intention behind their actions. Sometimes, they can be misinterpreted.

Interesting answers with an observation that the road to hell is paved with ‘good’ intentions.

Wonderful! Got me thinking too. One thing I always try and remember, especially working in customer service, you never know what a person is going through. They come in cranky and spit unnecessary venom at you…but their mother is dying. They’re speeding down the highway, but they just received a phone call their child was taken to Emerg for choking. They’re late for their appointment cause they were rear ended on the way. They just received news they only have 6 months to live so they don’t feel like smiling or pleasantries at that moment. I always try and have compassion before passing judgment.

Wow!!! Sends a chill down the spine…. These examples just threw more light on why it’s important to have some compassion and to put ourselves in the other person’s shoes.
Loved your thoughts.. more power to you 😇👍😊

Thanks, Sara for Sharing Your World! Excellent answers, and it’s true, others’ intentions can be misinterpreted. It’s difficult to know what another means by something they do, we can only know what we intend. Great thought on that!
