Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge #97 – Oh, the Humanity

My Submission 🙂

As Ginge relaxed in his bath, he couldn’t help glance over his shoulder at the photo of his poor departed brother. What that kid did to him…barbaric. Ginge was completely helpless, lying on the baking tray with the rest of their siblings, watching in horror as the kid showed no remorse, chomping the ends of his limbs, one by one.

As the kid’s mother moved the tray to the counter, Ginge made his escape, slipping off the side onto the floor. He didn’t look back as he ran, imagining the carnage that was to come for his brothers and sisters.

Now, every Christmas, Ginge draws himself a marshmallow bath, and takes a moment of silence for his fallen family.
