So, here’s how it goes, from the words of Frank, our host:

Welcome to Fibbing Friday: where the answers are made up and the truth doesn’t matter! If this is your first time joining us, or just in case you need a refresher, the idea is to answer the questions below in as creatively a manner as you see fit. The only stipulation is that you must answer them with a fib. Bend, stretch, break, or outright ignore the truth to your heart’s content! Once you’ve settled on your answers, tag your post as, “Fibbing Friday”, and link back here so that we can all see just how talented a fibber you are!

Here are this week’s questions and my answers. Hope you enjoy 🙂

  1. What does it mean to “come a-wassailing”? – It’s just like the two-step, only you do it while wearing bells and garland
  2. What was on Little Jack Horner’s thumb when he pulled it out of his Christmas pie? – The rat who got to the pie first
  3. According to the song, what was it that “My True Love gave to me” on the 8th day of Christmas? – A firm talking to after his frolic with the maids a-milking
  4. What is the purpose of a Yule log? – To beat the shoppers who try and push in line before you 
  5. What was so special about the reindeer named Rudolph? – He was an immigrant 
  6. What were the names of Santa’s reindeer? – Sprinter, Ballet Queen, Skippy, Woman in Red, Space Rock, Cherub, Best Dressed, Drunk
  7. Why do we leave a snack for Santa? – We are enablers
  8. Who or what is Krampus? – When your leg muscles seize after drinking too much spiked eggnog, and not enough water
  9. How did the tradition of kissing under mistletoe get started? – Made up by the unpopular guy who was desperate to kiss the village beauty
  10. Why is Christmas celebrated in December? – An excuse to have a final hurrah before everyone starts their New Year’s Resolutions of sobriety and healthy eating
