Infinity – A photo prompt

Inspired by the photo prompt. Original link below 🙂

My OCD was already out of control,

Then, the string.

I have to pause, take a moment to compose myself.

Hands on knees, deep breaths.

You’ll be okay, you’ll make it through.

Just. Breathe.

Kind of an interesting find,

The infinity symbol the string makes,

An accurate representation of my disorder.

Never ending,

Never ceasing,

To disrupt my walks,

My life.

All I wanted was a donut from the bakery down the street.

But now,

I’m stuck in this endless, ceaseless, infinite loop of anxiety.

Thank you for the photo prompt, Rochelle, https://rochellewisoff.com/2020/12/02/4-december-2020/
