My take on the word prompt, Intimacy. Original link below 🙂

He makes sure his boots are on the correct feet, teaching him how to line up the big part with his big toes. He zips his coat, grabs the ball, and heads outside.

“Turn your foot, and kick like this. Great job!”

A high-five and pat on the back.

“Now, get it into the goal. Excellent, buddy!”

A double high-five.

Then, a miss.

“Good try, buddy. How are you only two, you’re so good!”

Gets cold, they head inside.

“Wanna play blocks? Good stacking!”

“Wanna read a book? Yes, that color IS red. Great work!”

There follows the snuggles, the tickles, the gentle wrestling.

My heart is overcome with warmth. I find myself loving him more than ever.

Never do I feel more intimacy toward my partner, than when he is bonding with our son.
