I was once considered an aberration
Flicked off, even stomped on
Fortunately, I was small enough to avoid the brunt
Nothing I did provoked this
I was simply living my life
But, I always yearned for something better
Felt I deserved a fair cut.
And, as fate would have it
I WAS destined for more!
A switch, a change into something more accepted
Something…beautiful.
As I emerge from my cocoon
I feel springโs crispness.
Now, when I spread my new wings
You eagerly hold out your hand
But, I am still the same caterpillar you flicked off before

Very good use of V the prompts

Inner beauty always surfaces. It just takes time for some to recognize it.
