I had fun with this one. Hope you enjoy!
“But, I love you!” she shouted, dangling halfway out the window.
He peeked around the outside corner. “How did you even get up here?” he asked, confounded.
“Love!” she clamoured. “True love hoisted me.”
“You’re gonna wake my children.”
“I don’t care! They can’t keep us apart, nothing will!”
Clearly, he thought.
“Remember the good times, baby? When you came into the coffee shop and ordered a latte with EXTRA foam? I know what that meant.”
He gruffed. “Sorry, but you misunderstood. I have children, and a wife who I love more than life itself.”
“Let me explain it to her!” she cried, her feet scrambling up the stucco. “I’m sure if I just explain it to her, she’ll understand.”
“U…us,” she grunted, gripping the sill with underside of her breasts.
“There is no us, ummm, whatever your name is?”
“Beth, remember? You said, “Thank you, Beth”, after your last order. I know what that meant.”
“Get out of my window, Beth.”
“See,” she celebrated, “I knew you recognized me!”
