100 Word Wednesday – #171

Here is my submission – Based on a “strange” experience I had as a teenager:

Where am I

Why did you bring me here

Then, I hear it

Music!

Beats, bass

It’s stretching for miles

As I approach

The people look strange

Not quite wrong

Not quite right

Just

Strange

I feel pretty normal

Maybe too normal for this crowd

I try and join in

Hop around like the others are

But, I feel silly

This is not me

But, I want to fit in

We’re tucked away

Deep within in the woods

No one can come to my aid if I feel awkward, uncomfortable

So, I try to fit in

Why am I here

Thanks for the prompt, https://bikurgurl.com/2020/10/21/100-word-wednesday-171/

  1. Thank you for the prompt! I know my response might come across a little strange to some, but it was something I lived through, and the photo flooded the memories back. Felt good to get it out. Now waiting for the questions from my parents lol
